The HLD5000 Halogen Leak Detector with Smart Probe is the sensible choice for customers using multiple refrigerants in their operation. It uses innovative infrared technology to find leaks quickly and reliably, with dramatically fewer false alarms.
One Version for Many Refrigerants
The Smart Probe uses a wide-range, long life sensor to detect all current and future halogen-based refrigerants. It provides a list of five pre-programmed gases - R22, R134a, R404a, R407c and R410a - plus three user-definable gases. The unit automatically adjusts its calibration when programmed to a different refrigerant while maintaining its trigger settings.
Easy and Fast Calibration with Built-in Test Leak
The HLD5000 with Smart Probe can be calibrated for pre-programmed gases using its built-in test leak. Other halogen-based refrigerants can be calibrated with the appropriate external test leak or a calibration factor can be programmed into the unit to enable these gases to be calibrated with the internal test leak.
Well Protected Against False Alarms
The Smart Probe uses the same proven technology used in the INFICON HLD5000 Refrigerant Leak Detector probe. While very sensitive to all halogens, the infrared sensor effectively eliminates false alarms due to non-refrigerant susbstances, such as water, human breath and alcohols, that can cause false alarms with other sensor technologies. In addition, the HLD5000 with Smart Probe features the unique background compensation system of the dual gas inlet. The dual gas inlet system enables the HDL5000 to prevent false alarms due to background contamination from halogens and other sources.
Excellent Protection of Your Investment
The Smart Probe will continue to support your operations and not become obsolete should your product line switch to a different refrigerant. The HLD5000 with Smart Probe can simply be programmed to the new refrigerant, either from the pre-programmed list of gases or by external calibration with any halogen. No additional investment is necessary to support the change.
